Hello, my name is Ahmet Can Yeşildağ. I live in Oakville, andOrophile Journeys
I am the founder of Orophile Journeys.
My connection to hospitality began in Istanbul, where I attended hotel school and started working in food and beverage. Over more than thirty years, that work grew into hotel leadership, further education and teaching future hospitality professionals.
Here in Ontario, my experience includes food-and-beverage management at Courtyard by Marriott Burlington and hotel operations with Hilton. I have also taught hospitality students, including through Queen’s College’s partnership with Lambton College.
Those experiences shape the business I am building here in Halton.
Orophile Journeys is a fee-based travel advisory service operating through my Canadian company, Greenmountains Trade Ltd.
I help people who have researched a trip but want an experienced second opinion before committing their time and money. My initial focus is adults and couples planning a considered holiday or retreat, including residents of Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.
An itinerary can look complete and still be unsuitable. The season may be wrong for the experience someone wants. Transfers may leave too little time to rest. Attractive hotel photographs may not answer the questions that matter to that particular traveller.
I review the plan, explain the trade-offs and suggest practical changes. Clients pay for my advice and book directly with their chosen providers.
What distinguishes my approach is experience on the operating side of hospitality. I have been responsible for the service behind the promise. My teaching experience also helps me explain complicated choices clearly.
I am seeking grant funding to help turn this experience into a more consistent customer journey and a repeatable way of reaching paying clients.
My proposed priorities are improving the online enquiry and consultation process, producing useful educational content, and testing focused marketing to local customers. I would finalise the spending against the programme’s approved eligible expenses and my business-plan budget.
I would measure progress through qualified enquiries, paid consultations, customer feedback, referrals and the cost of acquiring a client.
Receiving the grant would help me test and improve this new service with greater discipline. My next steps would be to implement the approved improvements, deliver consultations and use what customers tell me to refine the offer.
Oakville is where I live. Halton is where I want to build lasting business relationships. I want people to know who is giving the advice, understand what they are paying for, and feel comfortable asking questions.
That is the business I want to grow. Thank you.
